Therm-L-Tec isn’t just another door manufacturer—we’re a family legacy built on over 50 years of experience, innovation, and trust in the cold storage industry.
Under the Cole family's leadership, the company quickly grew into a national manufacturer of stress-skin insulated panels and cold storage doors, employing over 100 people and serving thousands of major customers across the U.S. With a steadfast commitment to product quality and unmatched customer service.
After the original company was sold in 1998 and later closed by its new owners, Steven made the decision to rebuild what the family had worked so hard to create with the help of his sons, Craig, Joshua, and Rich.
Today, Therm-L-Tec Systems LLC is reestablishing that legacy with the same integrity, craftsmanship, and innovation that defined the original brand.
We proudly design, engineer, and manufacture our products right here in the USA—because we believe American-made means better quality, stronger partnerships, and jobs that support local communities.

Our story began in 1972, when Steven Cole, a U.S. Navy veteran, founded the original Therm-L-Tec Systems Inc. in Kansas City, Kansas. After serving his country, Steve brought the discipline, resilience, and attention to detail he learned in the military into the world of industrial construction.
